I can’t believe the complaining sometimes when I read Yelp reviews. This is Boston, MA not the south. As far as BBQ is concerned, this place is excellent. Having eaten in both locations now I felt the need to YELP about it. For starters try some of the delicious dry rubbed wings, they are excellent. When it comes to the main course, anything and everything seems good… BBQ chicken, pulled pork, sausages, beans, greens and everything in between. Yes, and the cornbread is also exceptional. The place is very clean and the Rowley location has a unique small town feel to it, I love it. The staff is very eager to help and the food comes quick. Oh, did I mention they serve beers and margaritas?!?!?!? Honestly, try it. Compared to some other so called BBQ restaurants around here I think this place is pretty fantastic. Oh yeah and there is free peanuts and popcorn… I mean very few things are free in life.— Derek W.
From the extensive menu, I picked two meats with two sides. The sausages were tender and juicy as were the ribs. My sides of homemade potato chips and mac n’ cheese were just the right compliment to the meal. Add a cold beer and you have a great meal. Place is very clean. I love the fact that a roll of paper towels is hung from your table to keep your hands clean during the meal. Don’t miss it!— E. dodge
This place is an all-time top hole-in-the-wall. We’ve been multiple times and are consistently shocked at how authentic and delicious their southern barbecue menu is. We’ve never had a bad meal, the price is right, and a little spoken fact about this place is that their french fries are the best in New England. Go, Just go.— Family/EK
Hidden away in the outskirts of Rowley is a little place that offers true wood-smoked BBQ meals that do more than whet your appetite. The food is so tasty and moist that it feels like it melts in your mouth. They make everything on the premises in what they call a southern style BBQ. All meals come with two sides and a good size piece of corn bread. My wife’s hamburger with homemade chips was excellent. I had the grilled tenderloin tips that were the best I’ve ever tasted. The place has a friendly atmosphere and it is worth paying a visit just for their great corn bread alone.— Tar7
